Mobility open call Otaniemi on the Road to Sustainability, apply by 31 March 2026
The SOLMU project has an open call in Espoo. Companies are invited to test and develop their services during the Otaniemi on the Road to Sustainability theme month in May.

The SOLMU project focuses on developing mobility services, especially around transport hubs in the Helsinki metropolitan area. In addition to the City of Helsinki (Business Helsinki), the project is implemented by the City of Espoo and Forum Virium Helsinki.
SOLMU has an open call in Espoo with the aim of strengthening the attractiveness of public transport, improving the smoothness of travel chains, and enhancing the discoverability and accessibility of services at a transport hub. Companies and other organisations are invited to participate in developing and testing mobility solutions during the Otaniemi on the Road to Sustainability theme month in May 2026.
Solutions are sought for
- micromobility, such as electric bikes and scooters
- safe bicycle parking concepts
- car-sharing and other shared mobility services
- logistics pick-up points and last mile solutions
- information services that support travel chains, such as signs and real-time information
- dynamic services that adapt to demand or weather conditions.
Participating and schedule
Companies will implement their pilots in the Otaniemi area at their own expense. The testing period can range from a one-day weekday demo to a pilot lasting the entire month of May.
The open call is open to organisations with a European business ID. Solutions that are still in the development phase are also welcome, and the project will provide help for co-development and organising the pilot.
Applications must be submitted by 31 March 2026 at 16:00.
