Invitation: The Next Step in EdTech Collaboration

The event brings together EdTech companies as well as representatives from cities and educational institutions for an open dialogue. The programme also includes presentations of projects that offer free support for companies. In the demo session, we will explore a usability toolkit that supports the development of educational technology.

Time: Tuesday, May 5, 2026, 9:00–13:15
Location: Business Helsinki, Kansakoulukatu 3, 4th floor
Target audience: EdTech companies and developers, as well as experts from cities and teachers from educational institutions

There is a strong willingness to collaborate between cities, educational institutions and EdTech companies, but current structures, responsibilities and operating models need further clarification.

Welcome to an event where we deepen the dialogue between companies and representatives of cities and educational institutions. We will also highlight concrete support opportunities for EdTech companies, as the Sisu Factory Goes Global, AIStart AI Incubator and FAIR projects briefly present their services. In the demo session, we will explore a usability toolkit designed to support the development of immersive and other learning solutions in educational contexts.

The objectives of the event are to:

  • promote open dialogue between cities and companies
  • increase understanding of how cities operate (e.g. data protection, AI, and procurement)
  • showcase projects that provide free support services for EdTech companies
  • deepen understanding of EdTech users and co-develop a usability toolkit

Immersive Learning Ecosystem

The event is part of the activities of the Immersive Learning Ecosystem IMMO project. IMMO provides companies with an increasingly effective opportunity to test and develop various educational technology solutions, particularly immersive services and products, in collaboration with end users. The project is implemented by the City of Helsinki, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and Laurea University of Applied Sciences. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
