Video: Helsinki helps SMEs leverage AI in their business

The rapid development of artificial intelligence is challenging small and medium-sized enterprises. Through the AIStart project, Helsinki helps companies keep up with the pace of change.

In the EU co-funded AIStart Incubator project, Helsinki helps micro sized and small and medium sized enterprises to make use of AI. Companies receive AI training, advisory support and other resources that make it easier to apply AI in their own business efficiently and safely.

In the video, companies describe the benefits they have gained from participating in the activities.

Digilick and Rollyy comment

– The training sessions let you explore AI beyond the surface level. We have received concrete benefits and advice for our day-to-day operations, says Pirjo Virkkunen, CEO of Digilick Oy. Virkkunen has completed AIStart’s seven-week free training programme tailored to the needs of micro-enterprises and SMEs.

Rollyy’s CEO David Vasquez agrees.
– The training has helped us develop both our own skills and the company’s business.
Vasquez works in robotica, which is an area he describes as challenging, as continuous learning is essential

Through AIStart, Helsinki also helps SMEs and startups network nationally as well as internationally through its business delegation service. A key activity in the project is guiding companies to suitable development platforms.

Business Helsinki’s project partners in the AIStart Incubator project are Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, the City of Espoo, the City of Vantaa and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
